    My New Baby

    My New Baby

My new baby comes home in 11 days.

We have played around with several names for my new Yorkie… Maggie, Millie, Matilda, Mattie. We had pretty much settled on Maggie until I remembered my FAVORITE Disney character, Megara, from the movie Hercules. I know you are thinking I am crazy naming her after a Disney toon.

    Spring!

    Spring!

I just love SPRING in Florida! I enjoyed a nice sunny day taking these pictures of my back yard.

Growing up in Utah, spring meant that the snow was finally melting and the cold weather was being replaced by warmer soon-to-be shorts weather. My favorite season was summer. I have always been a fun-in-the-sun sort, and couldn’t wait to be able to wear shorts and sandals.

    She’s a TEENAGER!

    She’s a TEENAGER!

Drama queen turned 13 in December.
It should’ve been like any other birthday, right? Wrong. This year there was no elaborate birthday party planning, no need for Mom to be involved at all. She wanted a sleepover with her BFF’s, a couple of pizzas, a bunch of snacks, and some drinks… and to pretty much be left alone.

    Weekend Project – Pond

    Weekend Project – Pond

S & I decided to do some landscaping over the weekend. We had this “problem” area between our sidewalk and the outside wall of the garage leading up to our front door. I had planted a climbing shell plant vine with a trellis when we first moved in. It grows aggressively and S did not like the way it likes to take over everything including the sidewalk. After latest freeze killed most of it off, he wanted to remove it completely.
